This outstanding colt is rising three and ready for breaking in. He is Oldenburger registered and was assessed Elite by ACE Assessment Tour. Commander is an International Quality youngster who, with the right partner, will go all the way to top level dressage competition. He carries some incredible genetics, making his potential as a Breeding Stallion an added benefit to this already awesome opportunity.

Commander was an Embryo Transfer foal and is out of Comtesse, a beautiful imported Hanoverian mare owned and ridden by Judy Smith. Comtesse is currently a successful Medium level competitor who consistently achieves winning scores at competitions. She instantly attracts the eye of onlookers everywhere she goes due to her graceful appearance and quality movement.

The combination of Royal Hit and Comtesse have produced the remarkable Royal Commander, a young colt who shows extreme potential for a super future as a dressage competitor and breeding stallion. His looks and conformation are outstanding. From a foal through to a yearling and 2 year old, he has always been an impressive horse, and now a rising three year old, he is simply awesome.

The conformational traits from Royal Hit are evident here in Royal Commander. He has the same super front that Royal Hit is famous for - a pretty head with good head/neck connection, great shoulders from which a well shaped neck is set, running smoothly through the withers onto a good strong back. He has a great hindquarter, well designed for weight carrying and power producing. He is a beautifully proportioned horse with long legs but nice short cannons and strong well shaped hooves.

Royal Commander's movement is also very pleasing to the eye. Beginning with the walk, he has a very good relaxed and ground covering walk with good overtrack in every stride. His trot is expressive with excellent knee and hock action and a hind leg that steps well under, while at the same time being elastic and swinging through the back. He maintains a very good rhythm regardless of the pace within the gait, ie normal trot or lengthened strides. The canter is very balanced, graceful and uphill, and again shows very good use of the hind legs.

Royal Commander has a beautiful nature, enjoys his human interaction immensely and is proving to be a very trainable young horse. With the right rider and trainer, it would appear there is no limit to the future possibilities for Royal Commander. We sincerely hope that Royal Commander finds his way into a new home where this awesome talent is nurtured and allowed to progress into true brilliance.
