Our Online Auction Site has been designed to work much like our Traditional Auctions, except that the Auctioneer is the Auction Software and you can bid from wherever you are located, providing you have internet or telephone access.
Below you will find some Important Points and FAQS relating to our Online Auctions |
| Horses are available for inspection in the weeks prior to the close of auction, just like they are for our traditional auctions. We encourage anyone who is interested in any of our auction horses to call us to make an appointment to view the horses in the flesh. |
| All horses are auctioned simultaneously, so the stress of decision making is eliminated. You can watch how the price is going on all the horses you are interested in at the same time. |
The hammer won't fall while you're still bidding. A built in time delay of 5 minutes ensures everyone has finished bidding before the auctioned lot closes. ie If a bid is placed within the last 5 minutes before the scheduled close of the auction, that particular auction lot is extended for a further 5 minutes from that bid. This continues until no bids are received for 5 minutes from the last bid.
|
Maximum bid amounts can be entered (proxy bids), so you don't have to keep coming back to bid. If you enter the maximum that you wish to bid, your bids will continue automatically in increments against other bidders up to your specified maximum amount.
|
Bid Increments are set in the Auction Software and work in a similar way as a Traditional Auction. Larger increments at the start of bidding, reducing in stages relative to the expected price. Our auction has the following bid increments.
Up to $15,000 - Bids are in $1000 increments
$15,000 to $25,000 - Bids are in $500 increments
Over $25,000 - Bids are in $250 increments |
| You can bid in the comfort of your own home and/or from any internet enabled location anywhere in the world. We are also accepting bids via fax, telephone/sms. |
| Email Notifications are automatically sent to confirm your bid and to notify you when you have been outbid, giving you the chance to revisit the auction site to place another bid if you wish. |
| Interest Free Terms are available. Application forms can be downloaded below. |
