Elite Australian Warmblood, Producing International Quality Progeny.

VALE - Fiderstern 14.12.2007 - 07.04.2022

In loving memory of Fiderstern, our extraordinary stallion who melted the hearts of all those who met him with his larger than life character.
From the moment he was born he loved living, loved to please, and was a joker at heart. The bond he had with Axel was magical.

Fiderstern was enormously talented with a huge work ethic, and was always a favourite with international visitors. He was an outstanding sire, producing exceptional youngsters, very much like himself. We are so grateful to have some beautiful daughters to carry on his legacy.

After sustaining a fracture to the pelvis/hip area last year, everything was done over the last 10 months to nurse him to a hopeful (paddock sound) recovery, but sadly his condition worsened. The heartbreaking decision had to be made to lay our boy to rest. He leaves an enormous hole in our broken hearts. Our barn is not the same without him. We are devastated.

Pedigree

Fiderstern is an International quality stallion who just oozes ‘stallion presence’. He is a magnificent type who has matured into an outstanding stallion. Fiderstern is highly intelligent, with a very trainable temperament. His three basic gaits are exceptional; a ground covering walk, swinging rhythmical trot, an uphill, active canter, and he shows wonderful suspension and cadence in his movement. He has a very good hind leg, as well as the desired knee action of today’s modern dressage horse.

Fiderstern was Elite assessed during the 2011 ACE Assessment Tour, and in 2012 was judged Champion Senior Warmblood at the AWHA Gala Show. He had his competition debut in January 2012 and quickly qualified for the 2012 DJWTS where he finished in the Top 10.

Fiderstern’s first foal crop arrived in the 2011/12 season and could only be described as sensational. He  stamps his progeny well with his looks and movement. They all have very elegant, athletic bodies with good legs, and are extremely expressive and powerful in their movement. We have presented a number of Fiderstern progeny for ACE Assessment Tours with many resulting in Elite classification including an Australian Champion. As ridden horses, the Fiderstern progeny are exceptional. All very elegant and athletic with super trainable brains and top movement. He is producing beyond our expectations!

Fiderstern is sired by the Westphalien Licensing Champion, Fidertanz. The ‘F’ Line is well known for producing very rideable, even tempered horses and Fidertanz is no exception. Fidertanz has consistently produced horses of the highest quality with many top priced auction horses, premium stallions and mares amongst his progeny. The oldest are now successfully competing in young horse classes and riders and trainers have been highly impressed with the rideability, temperament, and quality movement that these horses display.

Fiderstern’s dam is our very own Charisma. A truly stunning mare who was bred by Axel and later bought by Kerrie at the last Belcam International Auction. She sold for the highest price ever paid for a Belcam International horse. Charisma is sired by Capone, a stallion well known in Australia for producing horses with amazing rideability and temperament. Being recognized for her exceptional qualities, Charisma’s breeding career was the priority and she has not disappointed.

To date all of Charisma’s progeny have been of the highest quality and are a true reflection of the exceptional quality of this mare. Her daughters have gone on to also be producers of the highest quality offspring. Throughout the family there are many top priced foals, Elite Classified and highly sought after youngsters. A consistent mare family is key to a top producing stallion and from our own experience we can confidently say that this is the case with Fiderstern’s mare family.
