Versace is an exceptional young stallion, who combines the very best of Dutch breeding. He was sold to Germany as a foal and was presented at the 2013 Oldenburger Saddle Licensing, where he was awarded Premium and then became Licensing Reserve Champion, with the test rider scoring him 9.5 for Rideability.

Versace’s mare family was established by Huub van Helvoirt, one of the most respected breeders in Holland, responsible for breeding horses such as Jazz, Charmeur and Tango to name a few (Tango being from the same mare family as Versace), along with many of the most sought after Dutch mare families.

Versace is a modern, elegant stallion with super conformation. He is very uphill, with a great shoulder and shape to the neck. He has 3 outstanding gaits; a graceful, lengthy walk, expressive trot with excellent mechanics, and an uphill, active canter which is very balanced. He displays this super movement both at liberty and under saddle. Versace has an exceptional character, with a very willing and happy attitude towards work. He gives a very good feeling to his rider.

Versace’s pedigree carries the most incredible credentials, in terms of highly successful Grand Prix stallions, and producers of top level competition horses. The Internationally successful Grand Prix stallions, Krack C, Jazz and Ferro, apart from their own success, have between them produced hundreds of Grand Prix competitors.

Versace’s sire Vivaldi was the Winner of the PAVO Cup in 2007 as a 5 Year Old scoring a perfect 100 points by test riders, Carl Hester and Seth Bosman. He is a stunning type who is very expressive in movement. His extreme rideability traits are already evident in Versace. Vivaldi was also reserve champion of his stallion performance test. In 2008 and 2009, he added triumphs in the KNHS/KWPN stallion series achieving marks of 10.0 for his trot. Vivaldi is trained to advanced level. As a producer, he is now recognised globally: So far, in Germany alone, 19 of his sons have now been licensed, amongst them several highly-priced premium stallions such as Cennin, Le Vivaldi, Livaldon, Van Vivaldi, Veneziano, Versace and Vitalis, and in the Netherlands, Desperado and Dream Boy rank among the best dressage sires. In 2017, in Redefin alone, he produced 3 licensed stallions, including Vivaldi’s Schufro, who was Reserve Champion and another premium stallion. With a successful contingent, Vivaldi enriched the World Championships of young dressage horses in Verden in 2014 and also in 2015, where his son Eye Catcher won the Bronze Medal of the six-year-olds. In 2015 and 2016, his son Fenix won the five and six-year-old Pavo-Cup in the Netherlands. The Pavo-Cup of six-year-olds was a real festival for Vivaldi in 2016, when behind Fenix, in second and third place, were First Apple and Fantastique, both Vivaldi progeny. In 2017, First Apple was fourth at the World Championships of six-year-old dressage horse. Vivaldi has also produced several mare winners at shows and in 2017, he was second best stallion of the FN dressage breeding valuation throughout Germany (168 points).

There is so much to be excited about with Versace. Not only does he carry exceptional Dutch genetics, but as an individual, his physical traits are superb. Versace began his competition career in January 2014 where he was 4 Year Old Champion at the Boneo CDI. He now has a few foal crops on the ground and they are proof of his highly consistent hereditary traits. His foals have top class characters, superb conformation, expressive and correct movement. They are absolutely stunning in appearance, very eye catching. They are friendly, confident and clever. They have far exceeded our high expectations. Already Versace has produced Champion Foals for both ACE and AWHA Assessment Tours. In the 2016 AWHA Tour, Versace progeny were Champion, Reserve and Third place in the Open Section. His oldest are just starting under saddle and the feedback from breakers and owners is sensational. Brilliant to work with, exceptionally trainable and absolutely superb in character.

We consider Versace to be the perfect addition to our Stallion barn, who is crossing very well over all of our breeding mares, including the daughters of our current stallions. Versace over the Royal Hit and Fürst Love daughters is producing absolute stand out quality. Versace offers Australian breeders and riders an exceptional package; most importantly, temperament, along with the modern type, good looks and super movement, and genetics who should work very well with the majority of breeding programs in Australia.
