For Passion is an incredibly bred stallion, combining the top European Stallions and Mare Families. For Passion is a stunning young stallion, very similar in looks to his sire. He has a super character, friendly personality, and a happy and willing attitude.  Conformation is excellent, and movement is exceptional. He walks with purpose and has a good overtrack. His trot is expressive and light, with correct mechanics and a beautiful rhythm. His canter is a highlight,  very expressive with an abundance of cadence, uphill and groundcovering. 

For Passion was awarded Australian Champion of the ACE Assessment Tour, scoring a 10 for his canter, the first time a 10 had ever been awarded. 

His sire, For Romance was Champion Stallion of the Oldenburger Licensing in 2011 and sold to Dressurpferde Leistungszentrum Lodbergen for 700,000 euros. Carefully schooled by former auction rider Kira Wulferding and successful in dressage horse tests in classes A through M, this gorgeous stallion celebrated his first triumph in 2016 in advanced classes as well as a place in the top ten at the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal finals in the same year. In late 2017, For Romance’s further athletic development was taken over by Lodbergen’s head trainer, Therese Nilshagen. The pair won silver in both the Intermediaire II tests and the Short Grand Prix.

From Therese, “Romance possesses extremely good rideability and collection. Working together with our trainer Klaus Balkenhol, we now want to concentrate on making him stronger, making optimal use of his excellent hindquarters and work carefully towards Grand Prix sport. Although he is in great demand as a breeding stallion, he is incredibly sweet and will do almost anything for a lump of sugar. He’s also extremely well-behaved, even when other horses are in the arena.”

In 2019 For Romance was awarded Oldenburger Stallion of the Year. He has sired more than 80 premium mares, licensed stallions and numerous championship winners. The dam line of For Romance is the famous Gesina mare family. There are many top stallions, mares and competition horses from this line, including the full brothers to For Romance; For Romance II, Feinrich and Fürst Donnerhall, a full sister Fasine, and half siblings, Best of All, Don Romance, Golden Romance amongst others. 

For Passion’s dam, Maritza is from the highly respected and sought after Mon Amour mare family, established by the late Georg Sieverding. In recent history probably the most well known stallion to come from this family is Fürstenball. His dam and Maritza’s dam are half sisters, being both out of the Elite State Premium mare, Marella. They are also both sired by ‘D’ Line stallions. Maritza’s dam has 5 half sisters and all carry the State Premium or Elite predicate. From these mares comes some incredible breeding horses and competition horses, including Fürstenball, Sieger Hit, and MSJ VIP. 

Maritza was imported to Australia after we purchased her as a foal. As a 4 year old we sold a half share to Janet Seccull, who has partnered beautifully with Maritza under saddle. They have had great success up to Prix St George level to date. Maritza is a real head turner, with incredible grace and elegance, a top work ethic and brilliant trainability. 

Maritza’s sire, Blue Hors Zack launched his career as a 3-year-old Champion Stallion at the Dutch stallion licensing, where he was purchased by Blue Hors. Shortly afterwards he was approved in Danish Warmblood and was used extensively, especially in Danish and German breeding, from a very young age. In sport, Zack just keeps getting better and better. He was not ready for Grand Prix until he was 12, and he is still developing. “He has been an incredibly strong and durable horse, he has almost never been sick or injured, and so every day he is super ready and motivated to work – even the day after a big event, when he has to take time off”, says Zack’s former rider Daniel Bachmann Andersen. He debuted in international Grand Prix at the age of 13, after which his and Bachmann Andersen’s journey to world elite dressage took off at high speed. They soon became part of the Danish national team, representing Denmark at the WEG 2018 in Tryon, and became the best Danish equestrian pair in the Grand Prix, ranked at 10. They have since won the World Cup qualifiers in Herning and ‘s-Hertogenbosch, 7th place in the 2018 World Cup final in Paris and 4th place in the 2019 World Cup final in Gothenburg. At the Danish Dressage Championship in 2018 the pair ranked No. 8, then claiming victory as the Danish champions in 2019. The pair has achieved numerous international victories and top placings, including Amsterdam, Neumünster, Paris, Uggerhalne, Aachen, Hagen, Darmstadt, and Salzburg. In 2019 they won the CDIO5* Grand Prix Freestyle in Falsterbo with over 85%, and at the European Championships 2019 in Rotterdam they finished individually at No. 7 with 83.711% in the Grand Prix Freestyle. Zack finished the FEI 2019 competition year ranked at number 6 in in dressage, making him the world’s highest-ranking stallion in dressage.

The Dressage Legends, For Romance and Blue Hors Zack, along with a double cross of Don Schufro,  are perfectly represented in For Passion. There is simply no denying his heritage. With such incredible quality and depth in his pedigree, along with superb physical qualities, we expect For Passion to produce progeny of the highest standards. 

For Passion has been started under saddle and his training continues with Maddi Growcott. He is a very exciting young stallion who we are very proud to have standing at stud.
